Marzipan is a "healthy" fondant made from almond paste and you can drape it over your cake just like regular fondant. The flowers on this cake are not homemade, but store bought. Great places to get little ornaments like flowers,sugar sparkles, and rosewater are Hobby Lobby and Micheals.
Whew, the snail's trail and the little polka dots can certainly take a long time and a lot of concentration; but the finished product is well worth the effort!
